Magazine project - 2nd year university group project. TiNTD is a magazine celebrating Gen Z youth culture and exploring its ties to past decades, specifically pseudo-notalgia of the 90s.

Through the mediums of styling, photography, writing, film, social media and design, as a team, we collaborated and used our unique skills to create a final body of work that we are all proud of.

My role in this project was Layout&Graphics. I studied the layout of each magazine page, researched the right design aesthetic and experimented to make the imagery and the articles flow together. My work spanned from making the magazine’s colour swatch, designing the logo, deciding on the key fonts, leading the flat-plan experimentations, creating graphics coordinating the group work about my role and making sure everyone was happy with the design.

This experience of working in a group has taught me important skills and teamwork abilities. In addition, the role assigned to me has given me a wider knowledge of both my career job preferences and how to approach new tasks, becoming independent in my learning process and picking up skills as I experimented. However, most of all the key lesson for me was learning from mistakes, picking myself up from critical discussions and improving my work each time, as an individual and as a team.

GRAPHiC DESiGN WORK:
Personal work for the TiNTD magazine project, specific to the graphics and designs that has furthered my knowledge and skills in this practice. Many experimentations and bodies of work weren’t included in the final print, therefore I have created this section to cherish my whole journey through the project.  Skills learned:  InDesign, Procreate on iPad, Photoshop, Illustrator to edit text, images and create graphics.
